About Us
Fine Line has been serving Drayton Valley for very long time now under different ownerships. Previously a small decal and banner shop that not many people in town were familiar with, our aim is to become the place to go locally-keeping you and your gas money from having to trek into Edmonton.
Who is Behind the Magic?
The shop is owned by a mother-daughter team,
Michelle and Sarah.
We’ll paint you a little picture of our history. Naturally (like everyone in this community) we’ve had our share of rough patches, but Drayton Valley is a resilient place, and we couldn’t think of a better town to call home.
2010
Michelle started at Fine Line part-time. She fell in love with the creative aspect of the job (weeding decals can be fun!), and quickly became a partner.
2012
Sarah jokingly offers to move back to DV from Kamloops if her parents buy her a house. Her mother counters with a job offer-maybe it could come with a work truck. It’s a done deal, and Sarah says goodbye to BC to move back to her hometown.
2014
Customers start asking us to do paint protection film. Always interested in learning new things, Sarah goes to training, and ppf gets added to the roster.
2018
So many customers have come in the door hearing that we do window tint (which we didn’t at the time!) that we’d be crazy not to jump in to it. Today it remains our biggest seller.
2022
We move shops, staying in the same building but a new bay with double the space. It’s a hopeful and scary feeling to make a leap like that, but it has certainly paid off.
2023
Let’s add flat glass tint to the mix! This summer we dedicated time to learning all about glass and films, and now we now confidently offer them all-decorative coatings, safety films, low-e, and many styles and shades of tint. We’re dreaming big and hoping to become the largest installer of residential & commercial window films outside of Edmonton.

2024
Dreaming even bigger? Michelle is looking forward to a happy retirement this year, spending more time with her grandchildren and maybe even tackling some creative projects. With a great team behind her, Sarah is excited to see what the future holds for her small business.
